Performance analysis of Alamouti-coded OFDM systems over spatio-temporally correlated underwater acoustic channels

In this paper, we analyze the performance of Alamouti-coded orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems over time-varying underwater acoustic (UWA) channels. A realistic UWA channel model has been considered, which can be correlated in either time or space or simultaneously in both domains. An exact analytical expression for the bit error probability (BEP) is necessary to analyze accurately the performance of Alamouti-coded OFDM systems over the spatio-temporally correlated UWA channel model. Hence, by using this UWA channel model, an expression has been derived for the BEP of Alamouti-coded OFDM systems assuming that the receiver knows perfectly the channel state information.…

This article deals with the derivation and analysis of the statistical properties of the instantaneous channel capacitya of N*Nakagami-m channels, which has been recently introduced as a suitable stochastic model for multihop fading channels. We have derived exact analytical expressions for the probability density function (PDF), cumulative distribution function (CDF), level-crossing rate (LCR), and average duration of fades (ADF) of the instantaneous channel capacity of N*Nakagami-m channels. Automatic construction of test sets: Theoretical approach

We consider the problem of automatic construction of complete test set (CTS) from program text. The completeness criterion adopted is C1, i.e., it is necessary to execute all feasible branches of program at least once on the tests of CTS. A simple programming language is introduced with the property that the values used in conditional statements are not arithmetically deformed. For this language the CTS problem is proved to be algorithmically solvable and CTS construction algorithm is obtained. Remarks on IEEE 802.11 DCF performance analysis

This letter presents a new approach to evaluate the throughput/delay performance of the 802.11 distributed coordination function (DCF). Our approach relies on elementary conditional probability arguments rather than bidimensional Markov chains (as proposed in previous models) and can be easily extended to account for backoff operation more general than DCF's one.

Sum-of-cisoids (SOC) processes provide an important framework for the modeling and simulation of multipath fading channels. In this paper, we analyze the performance of SOC Rice/Rayleigh narrowband fading channel simulators with respect to the bit error probability (BEP) of quadrature phase shift keying (QPSK) and differential phase shift keying (DPSK) systems with both coherent and noncoherent demodulation.
